Des Moines, Iowa

Monday to Friday - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (w/afternoon off TBD)

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a caring nurse or medical assistant to join our team at Methodist Plaza Internal Med. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. In our clinic, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients.

Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, medical histories, and documenting information in electronic health records (EHR).
Perform basic clinical tasks such as administering injections, vaccinations, and conducting lab tests.
Conduct routine screenings, including vision and hearing tests, and measure patients' height and weight.
Provide patient education on preventive care, chronic disease management, and medication instructions.
Coordinate patient referrals, follow-up appointments, and manage patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, equipment, and supplies.
Ensure compliance with clinic protocols, regulatory standards, and infection control measures.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant or Current Iowa License as an LPN/RN.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Mandatory Reporter training.
