Employment Type: Full time Shift: Weekend Shift Description: Shift Hours: Nights This position is for relocation depending on your location What you will do:

• Performs Ultrasound procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback, operating ultrasound equipment.
• Provides patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems.
• Instructs, trains, supervises, and evaluates student technologists in a positive manner. - Serves as a mentor and resource for other Sonographers.
• Collaborates with interpreting providers on protocol development and new exams/procedures.
• Promotes professionalism with the department, hospital, and community; acts as a role model and demonstrates a positive attitude.Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of an accredited two-year Ultrasound and/or Vascular Technologist training program.
  • Registered by the ARDMS in a minimum of Abdominal and/or Vascular certifications
  • Maintains active registry status with ARDMS
  • 2 or more years employment at Mercy Medical Center as a Sonographer or 3 or more years Sonography experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider obtained within three (3) months of hire.
  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
